Systematic Torture: Escalating Crimes Against Palestinians in Israeli Custody Amid Ongoing Genocide

Register now

The situation for Palestinians in Israeli custody has reached an unprecedented level of brutality, marked by escalating, systematic violence and state-sanctioned torture. This webinar will shed light on the historical and current use of torture by Israeli authorities as a mechanism of domination and control over the Palestinian people.

The speakers will unpack:

  • The legal framework of torture through laws, military orders, and court decisions that permit and shield the abuse of Palestinian detainees.
  • Testimonies and case studies of torture in Israeli prisons and military detention camps, including deliberately imposed starvation, the spread of diseases, prolonged incommunicado detention, and enforced disappearances.
  • How torture operates both as a tool of political subjugation and a weapon of war, particularly in the context of Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
  • Pathways for seeking international accountability.
