We're tired of everything: Women who survive sexual torture

Secrets to Voices: Living Memories in 3 and 4 Álamos
As part of the 2025 World Week Against Torture, Corporación Humanas and the La Barraca Collective - 3 and 4 Álamos Memory Site are organizing an intimate, testimonial gathering at the former detention and torture center, recently declared a Historic Monument in Santiago, Chile.
The event consists of the launch of the book "Secrets to Voices: Women Survivors of Political Sexual Violence During the Dictatorship in Chile", which collects the testimonies of women who experienced political and sexual violence during state repression under the dictatorship. The session featured women survivors, representatives of the 3 and 4 Álamos collective, human rights defenders, and allied organizations.
The objective was to contribute to raising awareness of these forms of violence as a form of torture, safeguard historical memory from a feminist perspective, and generate a space for recognition, dignity, and symbolic reparation.
The activity was recorded to be part of the online agenda for the World Week Against Torture and was broadcast live on Monday.
