Designing public campaigns that win hearts and minds

Please note: this training will be held in Spanish, if you wish to join the English training please register for this session happening on Tuesday 24th June.

How can we design effective campaigns that resonate with a global audience of advocates? While fear and outrage may feel instinctive, they rarely change minds, foster empathy for marginalized groups, or drive action. Instead, we must build campaigns grounded in hope - campaigns that inspire and connect.

As part of the Global Week Against Torture, OMCT is hosting two training sessions on 23 and 24 June to help participants develop the skills and insights needed to craft powerful advocacy campaigns. These sessions will focus on using storytelling and narrative strategy to inspire hope and mobilize support.

Training Objectives

  • Understand the key elements of effective campaign strategies that inspire action and shift public perception.
  • Learn storytelling techniques and narrative tools to create persuasive, values-based messaging.
  • Reflect on the emotional and values-driven dimensions of advocacy through case studies across various thematic areas.
